The Team
Chris Taylor
owner | cinematographer | editor
Email       IMDb
Chris began his career shooting an M16 before taking shots as a camera jockey, producing documentaries in the U.S. Marine Corps. As the film-bug started chomping away, he left the military to pursue a less conservative career path in a more creative industry and soon earned his film degree at the Art Institute of Seattle. Influenced heavily by the lighting side of visual storytelling, Chris was brought up through the ranks as a gaffer as well as a cinematographer and editor. Chris has shot several award-winning productions including Fantastic Confabulations, A Man, Buried, Butcher's Dozen and Karma Gettin'.
Lisa van Dam-Bates

Lisa has always been an avid movie fan. After leaving her position as a writer and editor for the The Austin Cut newspaper, she spent a year writing what would soon become her first feature-length film Marla Mae which she produced, directed and acted in. With her ten years of bartending experience, Lisa found she was exceptionally good at "takin' care of business" in pre-production and loved the fast paced environment of movie set life. Lisa has spent the last few years producing various projects and using her artistry for practical FX and set design.

Jake Waluconis

Email       IMDb
A graduate of Evergreen State College in film/media studies, Jake immediately jumped into the grip/electric side of the local film industry. After his three-week stint on our shoe-string, Olympia-made feature Marla Mae, we unanimously stated, "That's our guy". Soon after, he was decidedly hired onto the Adventus Team.
Billy Miller
support crew
Email       IMDb
Billy has worked as a gaffer/grip on feature films, shorts, and commercials since 2017. He also spends much of his work time in live event production. If anyone understands the hustle that's required in this biz, it's Billy, and he's encouraged by learning and being challenged with each day that he walks on set.
