Legal

Depending on the budget and the associative team attached to each feature film, the way that we handle investor contracts could vary from project to project. This includes investor agreements, the laws pertaining to SEC regulations and CPA reviews, as some financiers use different platforms for their investments. All of the requirements and documents however are channeled through an experienced producer or entertainment lawyer (again, depending on the project's scope) so you can be rest assured that due diligence was taken through the fundraising process.

Industry Standard Equity

Like the rest of the motion picture industry, we use the 50/50 Equity + 20% Interest model to all investors we partner with. With any money you put into our films, you're entitled to 120% of your investment returned (more for early investors) before any Net Revenue is made. After that, you share in the investors' pool, which makes up 50% of the movie's earnings in perpetuity. To calculate your share of the pool - for every 2% of a movie's budget you invest in (i.e. $2000 of a $100k budget) you own 1% of the movie.

Credits

Film credits are determined by the amount of money invested as well as referrals. We base these solely on "Investment Units", since only those who invest at least 1 UNIT are awarded a PRODUCER credit... certainly not necessarily prestigious to all but we need to give credit where it's due! For every project, a "Unit" is equal to exactly 2% of the budget purchased and earns you 1% ownership, for a total of 50 Units. This is how we break it down:

KEY PARTNERS/EXECUTIVE PRODUCERS:
(25+) units purchased
Key Partners are credited with their logos on all marketing materials that contain credits as well as at the beginning of the movie and on IMDb

EXECUTIVE PRODUCERS:
(10+) units purchased OR (5+) 1st & 2nd units purchased OR (5+) units purchased & (5+) units referred
EP's are also credited on all marketing materials that contain credits as well as at the beginning of the movie and on IMDb

CO-EXECUTIVE PRODUCERS: (5+) units purchased OR (1+) unit purchased & (5+) units referred
Co-EP's are credited at the beginning of the movie and on IMDb

ASSOCIATE PRODUCERS: (1+) units purchased OR (<1) unit purchased & (5+) units referred
AP's are credited at the end of the movie and on IMDb

SPECIAL THANKS: (<1) unit purchased
Special Thanks are given in the end credits of the movie and on IMDb

***IMPORTANT NOTE: Credit and equity will never dilute. Unit prices are based on the highest possible budget. If the production fails to raise that total amount, equity and possibly credit structure will improve. For example, if an investor comes into a $250k movie with a $20k investment (Associate Producer level) but production is only able to raise $100k, that investor will receive a full Executive Producer credit and his/her equity will increase from 4% to 10%.
